Wow, this was an exciting argument... when I came up with it a couple days ago. But fleshing it out, this tree has revealed itself: a twig wrapped in autumn leaves. blow, typing. Blow them away. Then pass and type your way to another tree. Much like a dog. heh... with just as high aspirations. Ooh, that does look yummy. You can afford smokes, Dije, what's a little chocolate added to that? Just send mom a smaller check this month... you know, if she wouldn't starve herself rather than give less money to her church. sigh. You tire me, world. And "no", i don't want your fucking chocolate. Even if it is fairly traded. Hey Dije. Sorry, this week has just been an eternal trudge uphill. Everything I've written needs to be re-writ because it's crap, I don't know if it's my birthday or what, but I just needed a friendly voice. And you called me? Hi? Mom? Why are you calling, Diogenes? Do I need a reason, mom? You need to stop sinning with other men and get married, that's the only rea son I can think of. So, "Love" isn't reason enough. That would show love. And respect. OKay, bye then. You send my check? Yes. Good. click. So, you've gone and gotten yourself fired, and now you're left with no- thing but your magnum opus. Almost a million words and no focus. You've convinced yourself you've been "doing it", Dije. For years now, working on this all-important work and support- ing your whims as well as your ungrateful mother with a job of stature, and one you've hated. You've even huffed yourself up about being moral enough to wait for that perfect gent to sweep you off your feet. Nothing worse than a hypocrite. Especially you, Dije, just pathetic fear cloaked in pride. Despite it being a very handsome coat. And so Dije told the crackhead that, oh my, the peasants are revolting. Except he didn't mean uprising, he meant disgusting. Somehow it lacks the hilarity in repetition, frank. Oh, don't let him get away with that, it was hilarious. If we had more people like Dije, the streets might be clean of that kind of trash. I said it as a retort, because he was a bit rude today, he's usually very nice. You're on a one-on-one name basis with the gutter punks now? I just care enough to no- tice, and at least he's not a soulless fuck like you. You can't say that to your supervisor. Sorry, Frank, i just did just say that, and you are my supervisor. Well, Dije, not any more. Dije diogenes Portland Oregon
